An independent press, built one story and one idea at a time.
Satinbird Press is the publishing home for Annie Gibbins’ books. a five-time CEO, Grand Stevie Award-winning business leader, children’s author, and creator of the Ember Wren Mysteries. Annie also writes practical, experience-tested business books for Nexus Leadership, drawn from her experience as a CEO. What began as a single mystery series for young readers has grown into a full catalogue: the Ember Wren Mysteries, four business series, and a growing shelf of collaborations with other authors and business leaders.
The name comes from the satin bowerbird. a bird known for building, collecting and carrying beautiful things back to a place worth returning to. That's the idea behind the imprint: stories and ideas worth carrying with you, whether that's a mystery for a child, a playbook for a growing business, or an anthology of women's voices.
Satinbird Press brings Annie’s experience in association and business leadership together with her love of storytelling. The aim is simple: books readers can return to for encouragement, discovery and ideas to put into practice.
